• Shopping:
2 supermarkets, many small shops selling food and clothing, bookstores, a record shop, a cyberspace to read your emails, Saint-Jean holds everything to satisfy your needs. A market is held in the superb "Halle couverte" every wednesday and saturday morning. A fair takes place on the third saturday of each month.
• Restaurants :
5 mn from the Domaine, Saint-Jean-d'Angély offers you a large range of restaurants: Crèperies, Grills, Asian Restaurants and Pizzerias, of course, besides a few gastronomic places, as Le Scorlion, ideally located in the Royal Abbey, l'Hotel de la Place or La Goulebenèze, with their original fine food.
• Health:
An hospital, many general practitionners and specialized doctors, dentists, opticians, physiotherapists, chemist's shops… The town offers all the necessary facilties in case of health problem.
As a water cure establishment should open soon, Saint-Jean-d'Angély will soon become a spa town.
That should increase the tourist frequentation all through the year.

The aquatic complex Atlantys of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, 5 mn from the Domain is one of the most beautiful swimming pools of the region, with its jaccuzzi, its sauna, and its aquagym and water-polo clubs.
• Culture:
A beautiful library in the Royal Abbey, a movie theater, many theatre and music shows, fairs and festivals allthrough the year… Saint-Jean-d'Angély is culturally active!

- Golf: A 18 holes golf ground awaits on you in Saintes (25 km), some others in Royan, Niort, Cognac and La Rochelle.
